SOMERSETT has always been, and always will remain, a small breeding program. We breed only when we are planning that special litter; one that will advance our breeding program.

Our first litter was whelped in April, 1967. In February of 1971 we registered our first SOMERSETT litter with AKC.

While some of our puppies are sold as show and performance prospects, most are sold as family pets and hunting companions. The health and temperament of ALL the puppies we sell is of upmost importance to us. All dogs and bitches we breed have passed hip, elbow and annual eye exams. We have been x-raying hips since 1967 and annual eye exams since 1974. We have added optigen and heart testing.

Our puppies are raised in our house where they receive daily doses of love and attention. They are socialized with our other dogs, cats, children and friends.
